Prior Pension Credit
1/1200 Credit for each hour (maximum 1 Credit) in a Plan Year
Maximum 20 years prior to June 1, 1960 -
Current Pension Credit (June 1, 1960 and later)
1/1000 Credit for each hour in a Plan Year, adjusted if you worked for an Employer contributing at less than the then-current master rate.

Years of Service
A Year of Service is a Plan Year in which the Participant has 1,000 or more Hours of Service

Participation/Breaks in Employment

Participation
Participation in the Plan starts when the employee is first reported to the Trust as an employee and contributions are made to the Trust on his behalf.

Break in Employment
An Employee incurs a Break in Employment in a Plan Year if the Employee fails to complete 500 or more Hours in a period of three consecutive Plan Years.
Your pension will then be calculated using the Pension Factors in effect at the time of the Break rather than the Pension Factors in effect when you retire.See also:

Cancellation of Years of Service/Pension Credit – Permanent Break in Employment
Previously accrued Years of Service/Pension Credit will be cancelled if you are not Vested and fail to receive credit for 500 hours in each of a series of consecutive Plan Years (not less than five) equal in number to the Years of Service previously accumulated.

Five Year Vesting (Effective 7-1-1999)
100% Vesting with:
- Five Years of Service prior to a Permanent Break in Service; and
- One Hour of Service after June 30, 1999.
You are also 100% Vested upon attainment of Normal Retirement Age

Normal Retirement Age
The later of age 65 or the 5th anniversary of the date you became a Participant in the Plan, excluding participation before July 1, 1988.
